Located in Newark, Delaware, Exceptional Care for Children is a skilled pediatric nursing facility that provides long-term, transitional, palliative, and end-of-life care to technology dependent children and their families in a home-like setting. Our renovation of the 9,000 square foot Third Floor Residential Wing adds 11 additional beds and support spaces. An Oxygen Storage Addition to the Basement level allows for safe storage of cryogenic dewars units outside of the building. The project involved extensive building code upgrades and provisions for construction within an occupied building.
