Designed to provide a contemporary liturgical space and to meet the special requirements of the community of Benedictine Sisters, the new chapel, with adjacent community room and dining room, forms the "heart" of the monastery. Its location in front of the existing structure and surrounded by a landscaped garden confirms its importance in the life of the community and gives the complex an appropriate focal point. A new 60-foot bell tower marks the location of the monastery to the surrounding community.
