For this project, a strong emphasis was placed on communications, both within the committees and to the Academy as a whole. The masterplanning process used surveys, group discussions, and "town hall" type presentations to help involve all constituencies and inform the design direction. Significant features of the master plan include the conversion of a recently acquired church building into a Performing Arts Center, a new Multi-Purpose Academic Facility and other programmatic relocations / renovations. Building / infrastructure renovations, life-safety upgrades and accessibility improvements will compliment the major projects. Site enhancements will include a complete reconfiguration of on-site parking and vehicular traffic to improve capacity, aesthetics and safety.
