ABHA Architects worked with the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington in master planning for a new parish and elementary school in Glasgow, Delaware. Significant environmental/wetlands issues made the development of a campus master plan crucial to realizing the full potential of the site, while funding limitations made a phased approach necessary. A key design feature was the creation of a grand boulevard that allowed for necessary circulation to the school, while presenting a processional view of the yet-to-be-built church. Shared multi-use parking helped minimize disturbance of the site. Future masterplan elements include a Recreation Building and Social Hall.
